Wow!!!! Thank you all so much for everyone who is praying for us and for those who wrote back we were greatly encouraged and cried a bunch. We both were hoping that you all could reply on the blog as this is way faster for us to check and we have a very limited time to be online. We both wanted to tell you all individually what Jesus has been doing so I will go first.
Josh - I don't know where to begin except to say that this past week Jesus has been performing miraculous heart surgery. I have seen some amazing things. I saw a child who is starving give his food to a blind man that he led to our base because he was hungry too. I have seen healings in the middle of poverty and joy in the face of darkness. children here fight for food. I have seen many fights and had to break a couple up all the while getting head butted myself but Jesus is here powerfully. It is through his eyes that I am seeing now. This morning I was dramatically hit by the presence of the spirit and broken with moaning for the lost. I have never felt like this before. Jesus is SO good. We are healthy and loving it here. We have already fallen in love with Pemba and the world. I don't have nearly the time to share this time all that Christ is doing so hopefully I will cut and paste a longer message next time for all of you. I love you all!!!!!
Jess here- I love you AMANDA!!! You made josh and I cry when we read your message. We are so proud of you and are so excited in what the Lord is doing in your life. I have a very specail gift for you that Jesus told me to give you while I was praying for you on friday. It's my cross necklce that was given to me. I love you I love you and Jesus loves you so so so much!
Wow, okay what God is doing... He is breaking my heart for Him and His people. Josh and I were invited to one of the pastors villages and he invited us into his home to pray, it was smaller then a jail cell and had massive bugs crawling all over, my skirt was grey from the bugs. I was so broken at that moment as we were laying hands on him and praying for him and repenting for all of the worldly possesions in my life. Jesus has broken me in ways I can't even descibe, He is bringing me lower and lower in an amzing way!!! Thank you all for your love and encouragement, we miss you all and can't wait to really share everything that the Lord is doing, and it's only been two weeks! I have not been bitten since I wrote you all, thank you for your prayers! Jesus does answer his children.

Hey guys~ Amen Jess NO more BITES!! Jess~ I just want to say that I will continue to press in and I have felt his blessings already. On a selfish note I want to say that right before you left I felt that we were closer than ever and I miss my girl! I can honestly say that we will be sisters for life and just because of Josh and Jer's bond, and I am blessed by your friendship!! I love you J.D. You both are in our prayers and we can NOT wait to hear more of the miraculous things that God is doing. It sends shivers up my spine. Josh- Jer misses ya like crazy! Hey Josh and Jess, I am so blessed to hear the awsome things God is doing in you both. Your lives are being absolutely rearranged, changed and totally transformed by the Holy Spirit. I pray for you both everyday and think of you very often. Our little church is having more and more folkes come who don't go to church anywhere and we are being blessed like everything. I am truly in awe of our God and the massive work he is doing in and through you 2. I love you both and I am so proud of you both. It is so great to see you walk and live in Christ like you both are. I would say blessings on you both but I know you already are blessed so I will say thanks to you for being such a blessing to all of us here in Oregon. Glad to know that you are not getting bit anymore. I hope you never have to get bit again while you are there. Thank you both for all the blessings you have given me and my family. We really appreciate it. Thanks for the car and everything else. I know that things are not love and don't want you guys to think that this is the only reason why we talk to you both. There are millions of things in the world there is enough for anyone. I believe that people are just really selfish and don't want to give. Lot's of people just want to recieve. I am not one of these people and I hope you know this. I try to give as much as I can but sometimes it is really hard with three kids. Anyways on a personal note Mario say's hi and wants to know if you have seen Tarzan yet. Hahahaha Just joking he said. Karolyne misses you both alot and is always asking for her Tia Jessie. Well I hope you two are doing great and can't wait to hear from you guys again.

I say reading your blog and I bawled out of my selfish desire to have you guys near me, The Lord blessed me with the lesson that as much as I miss you and our seperation is hard, it is neccessary. God is doing a mighty work in you, and I miss you, but he is the one who needs you to be his hands and feet to the nations. So as I am sitting and rejoicing for you I have hope because your seperation is not permanent, even if you all chooses to stay in Africa we will see you again. God just continues to speak to me about how relevant the idea of seperation is to the Kingdom of Heaven, God misses his children, the ones who because of our lost world, and many other reasons have not reconciled themselves to him. he grieved their absence and longs for them to be in his presence. We have hope that our missionaries will bring that light and that presence to the dark. I rejoice because God is using his people to reunite the lost with their Creator their ABBA, and someday every knew will bow and every tongue will confess that He is LORD. Thank you for your absence because it will bring others into the presence of the Lord, thank you for your obedience because it is furthering the Kingdom of Heaven, that you for your testimony because you are bringing hope to the Lost and giving them the hope of a holy reunion.

Praise you Lord for your creation and your people, Lord give Josh and Jess all they need to continue to work through you. Continue your Good works in them, bring them joy, and comfort. Your perfect peace and your continued presence. Lord as you call out your people, help us all to be obedient and to know what it means to walk in the faith and promises of YOU. For the children Lord provide as a father, food, shelter and you abundant love, for the workers, a peace and an overflowing, for the Lost, a way home. Thank you for the boy who led the blind to a base, because even though he was starving, he saw past his own needs, and aided another to recieve the same blessing he wanted for himself. You both told me you wanted crazy growth out of this trip... to be stretched like never before... to have your minds and perspectives blown to bits and reconstructed, and to have your hearts broken and renewed, both with the eyes and hands of our Savior... to experience not just new feelings but new happenings in the supernatural... and of course to see healings, prophecies, full blown angel/demon battles ensue!
Therefore, with that said... I am praying for challenges for you 2. I'm praying that things won't be a total breeze, that some hardships may cross your path(s) strictly in order that you might gain all that phenomenal stuff our Father has in store for you. I truly want you to come back stronger and mightier and with more confidence in Christ than ever in your lives, boasting more in your sufferings that in your paradises, and able to endure and triumph over absolutely any devastation thrown in your way by the enemy. I don't know how you feel about my prayers, but I really hope you see my intent and heart in them, that I simply want crazy amazing growth for the both of you.
